Fashion Designer Gabi Perezutti of Candela
This Fashion Week, you can take a peek into the pages of history with Candela’s Fall/Winter 2012 line that combines elements of everything from the Gold Rush to the Victorian era. We got a chance to chat with Gabi Perezutti, designer of this beautiful line, to hear all about the collection and learn about her favorite pieces hiding in her closet. Check it out, and then shop her favorite I-ELLA pieces, like this Hermes silk scarf and these Roger Vivier blue suede pumps.
Your Fall collection in one word: History.
The inspiration for the collection was taken from: The Gold Rush era and an underlying Victorian theme.
My plans after Fashion Week are to: Rest and eat!
I hope to see all the Candela friends at the show!
I could not survive Fashion Week without: Lattes and cappuccinos.
My current must-have is a: Moon silk printed Candela dress.
We can look forward to the relaunch of our website (www.candelanyc.com) in 2012.
If I could raid anyone’s closet, it would be: Phoebe Philo’s.
The most meaningful thing in my closet is: All the vintage Candela dresses and shoes I am keeping for my daughters.
I-ELLA: How often do you edit your closet? Any tips for our members?
Gabi: I edit my closet four times a year. My tip is: Few, but good.
